The appelation Saint Véran exists since 1971 and encloses 8 wineproducing municipalities. Domaine Simonin was started in 1800 and has been owned by the family since then. Since 1981 Jacques Simonin runs the company together with his wife. The vineyards are located in Vergisson and are planted with only Chardonnay. The harvest is done manually. The wine has nice floral tones and a good acidity and minerality. Easy to drink and yet full bodied. An elegant Burgundy.
