Domaine du Pech Le Pech Abusé is hewn from the same rustic cloth as other wines from the estate. This wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot with aromas of ripe hedgerow fruit, umami back notes, a bold mouthful of spice and good natural acidity.

Founded in 1978 and certified biodynamic in 2005, Domaine du Pech uses old school winemaking methods including the avoidance of fertilisers and minimal treatment to create their natural and unfiltered wines. The estate is situated on the slopes of Sainte-Colombe-en-Bruilhois in the extreme south east of the appellation. Originally founded in 1978 by Daniel Tissot, son of a long-standing winemaking family in Jura, in 1997 the estate was taken over by his daughter Magali and her boyfriend Ludovic Bonnelle. Domaine du Pech now comprises 17 hectares of vineyards, the calcareous white gravels in this area have excellent drainage and the consequent reflection of light and accumulation of heat ensures optimal maturity for the grapes.

Food matches: A versatile wine that works well with cured meats, red meat and risotto.
