The Syrah grape variety in this wine, appearance is dark purple/ruby opaque in colour with a blueish rim. The nose is pronounced with blackberry, violet and a hint of smoked bacon and cracked black pepper. The palate is round, full and silky with great complexity and tautness ending with beautiful freshness. Probably the best value you can get in Crozes-Hermitage for this money.
