A shiny gold colour for the Chassagne, A nose of white flowers and fresh butter. On the palate the usual suspects of Chassagne, a very rich structure of which this appelation is so famous for, it fills the mouth for a long time with a mix of citrus fruits and ripe apricots and butter again. The best of richness and yet mineral, an amazing wine, it’s best expression would come with white meat in a mushroom sauce.
Vincent Bachelet is the 3rd generation of the Bachelet family to work the 17 hectares the domaine now has, the grapes come from the most pestigeous appeltions in Burgundy and the agriculture is done with minimal intervention. All grapes are handpicked and destemmed for the pinot noir and sorted, in the winery again all is done to let the terroir express itself and have minimum intervention and no additives. The result is an amazing range of what Burgundy has to offer, stunning wines.
