The name of the wine means "beauty" in vernacular (from Italian word bellezza). Dry white wine from the sunniest Croatian island, Hvar. Beleca is made from indigenous varieties Pošip and Bogdanuša in a fifty-fifty ratio. The synergy of these two varieties gives a unique minerality and freshness to the wine. Even tough Pošip is originally from Korčula, the one used in Beleca originates from Hvar as well.
