Gusbourne is one of the UKs top sparkling wine producers. Its vision was to produce the finest vintage wines only using its own vineyard fruit. It first vines were planted in 2004 and its first wines were released in 2010 to immediate acclaim. Their 60 hectares in Kent and 30 hectares in West Sussex are planted mostly to Burgundian clones which yield smaller berries and bunches, enabling its fruit to be notably flavoursome. From this land, they produce multiple sparkling wines via the traditional method (like in Champagne) as well as several still wines. Its Guinevere Chardonnay has a Burgundian touch with its clean chiseled palate, notes of sweet orchard fruit and toasty oak which is lifted by crunchy acidity. Robin Kick MW says "Besides its great name, this is also a delicious Chardonnay that keeps to the French style but has the UK's distinctive fruit freshness. Definitely worth a try for those who really enjoy white Burgundy and cool climate Chardonnay."
