  Gentle Giant is possibly the best value wine we’ve found this year. Tasted on their estate in March, we were blown away by the depth, complexity and quality at a price that we knew would make it an instant favourite with our customers.
  Merlot driven, it spends 44 months in French Oak which in itself is a huge investment and commitment from the winery for a wine at this price. It’s robust, juicy and powerful but it doesn’t bash you between the eyes with a big ol’ bush vine thanks to the skills of winemaker Marozanne Bieldt.

  Cloudfall is just as delicious and just as impressive as its red counterpart, Gentle Giant. It consists of no less than five white grapes, with Sauvignon Blanc dominating. The wine is rich, whilst being incredibly elegant and finessed, with notes of white stone fruits and tropical fruits all held together with a fresh and vibrant acidity. Old oak gives the wine texture and body.

  Don’t let the label fool you. In My Bed isn’t as sleepy as you might expect. Full of rich dark fruit character with a savoury tobacco leaf backbone reminiscent of Bordeaux’.Cracking stuff. This wine has been a favourite of ours for the past ten years.

  Nicholas Red is a Rhône Valley inspired festival of flavours with Syrah headlining.
  On the nose, ripe red fruits complemented by a dark chocolate character. This follows through on the palate with a complement of liquorice and dried herbs to boot. Let this little beauty open up in a decanter before serving then enjoy.

  This fabulous Sauvignon Blanc, from the progressive Black Elephant Vintners, offers vibrant aromas of passionfruit, pear and lemongrass with tantalising tropical fruits, citrus and gooseberry flavours. Extended lees ageing gave the wine its richness and complexity which is perfectly balanced by a lively acidity and streak of flinty minerality.

  Last but not least, South Africa’s star grape variety makes up for a fantastic wine fitting all occasions and a great food partner. Match with fish, Asian cuisine and pasta with sauce. Aromatic guava and orange blossom on the nose. Dry with a hint of sweetness with apple, peach and a touch of orange peel on the palate. Elegant crisp finish.
