Adegas Gran Vinum Esencia Diviña Albariño, Rias Baixas 2020
Type | White |
Grapes | Bacchus, Albarino |
Country/Region | Spain |
Vintage | 2020 |
The aroma is floral and beautifully ripe, briney ocean breeze notes, complex and precise, wafting from the glass in a mix of apple, pear skin, lime blossoms, a touch of wild fennel, cool, smoky orange scents, a good base of soil and a potpourri of white flowers and candied citrus in the upper register. Full bodied and vibrant on the palate, the wine is crisp and focused, with an excellent core, good backend mineral drive, snappy acids and impressive length and grip on the long, salty, zesty, complex finish.
The Essencia Divina Albariño is a 100% Albariño crafted from estate grown fruit. Made from only free run juice, it is rich tasting with great intensity of flavor and mouth filling with a silky texture.
Aged 3 months in tank on the lees, it reveals a chalky mineral character.
This is a first class Albariño, deserving of its very long list of accolades and outstanding value!
A great coice for mussels and fries, raw fish, oysters or a terrine of whitefish, or mackerel poached in wine. Crab or scallops would love it. Or softshell crab with capers, lemon and brown butter.

ADEGAS GRAN VINUM - OUR HISTORYPiñeiro Cores family has grown vineyards for generations. We first cultivated small vineyards and gradually reorganized and replaced the original grape variety with Albarinos grapes. Slowly but also with persistence, our grandparents continued growing Albarino grapes on small plots of land across the Rias Baixas region. Adegas Gran Vinun was created in 2002 to continue the family style.
Our winery produces Albarino wines which are included in the D.O. Rias Baixas.
The region defines the culture of Adegas Gran Vinum. The vineyards exceptional location, on hillsides overlooking the river Umia and the Ría de Arosa, near Cambados in the Pontevedra province, Galicia (Spain).
Geology, topography, and climate are certainly central to a successful winery venture; these elements greatly influence the flavor and texture of our acclaimed wines. But the quality and character of Bodegas Gran Vinum has a secret: taste for performance and respect for the terroir and environment.
Winemaker, Enrique Piñeiro grows his own vineyards, and makes wine with an expert and highly qualified team. His daughter, Andrea Piñeiro, is now part of the team and continues the family and the Adegas Gran Vinum philosophy.
