A full flavoured, intense and robust Montepulciano from the Abruzzo region of Italy's Adriatic coast. Don't let the price deceive you, the hand harvested Montepulciano grapes in this wine are grown on selected parcels of land from low yielding 30-50 year old vines which give the wine it's ripe, juicy plum and black cherry fruit characters with hints of bitter chocolate and warm, smoky notes with red cherry fruit on the finish.
