Cava Makedonikos red wine is produced in Trace, North Eastern Greece, by Tsantalis Winery, made by a mature blend of two grape varieties, the Greek Xinomavro and the international grape variety Cabernet Sauvignon. Cava Makedonikos wine has a dark purple color and slightly earthy notes of juicy dried fruit, nuances of leather and tobacco. Cava Makedonikos red wine is aged for at least one year in oak barrels and two years int he bottle. With ABV 13.5% is ideally paired with red meats and pasta with grated cheese or stifado. Vintage 2013. Best served at 14 18 °C.
