A vignot is a small vineyard adjacent to the farm, where the grower/winemaker grows his fine selection grapes yielding his finest wine, typically reserved just for family consumption and to show it off to friends. This excellent old-style Barbera wine is fermented strictly in a traditional way. It tends to be high in alcohol (13.5 or 14 degrees, depending on vintage). The Cantina di Casorzo is the protagonist of the journey that led the Malvasia di Casorzo to establish itself as one of the best Italian dessert wines.

Today around 50 members collect about 95% of the grapes used to produce this wine. The result of the history of men and their land, the winery embodies the synthesis of social changes occurring in Monferrato and at the same time is a symbol of how winemaking technologies have evolved in recent years.

The associated winegrowers, after a year of work with due and careful care of the vineyard, and apprehension for the climatic trend, give the totality of their grapes to the Winery which, with the appropriate selections, can therefore dispose of a superior quality product.
