2014 Numanthia

The Numanthia has matured in new French oak for 21 months and is 100% Tempranillo (a toro clone of the temranillo). The bouquet shows large fruit concentration and clarity. The aromatics are almost Medoc-like. The taste is full-bodied with intense tannins but it has a silky texture. The taste is warm but also very fresh and there is real attack on the middle-mouth part with hints of graphite. This wine must be on the wish list (and very high) of every Toro enthusiast.
