Veneroso is one of the showpieces of the beautiful Italian winery Tenuta di Ghizzano from Tuscany . The winery describes this wine as 'historical' and 'most representative of the estate'. The Veneroso was first produced in 1985 and has since performed the beautiful characteristics of the terroir where it was born very well, in particular the elegant, ripe fruit and beautiful mineral content. The Venerosi has thus become a true frame of reference for the wine-growing region. The wine is made from 70% Sangiovese grapes and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon .

The vineyards are located in Peccioli (Pisa) and are approximately 180 to 200 meters above sea level with a south-westerly location. As befits a good biological and biodynamic winery, these vineyards are also surrounded by the Tenuta di Ghizzano winery with the utmost care. The grapes are only picked by hand and then a further bunch selection follows on the table. The grapes are traditionally pressed with their feet, after which fermentation with natural yeasts takes place in 3000 liters of wooden barrels at a controlled temperature of around 28 ° -30 ° C. The wine then ripens for 16 months in oak barrels of 500 liters.

Tenuta di Ghizzano is located in Ghizzano, close to the Tuscan coast, about 40 km from Livorno and 40 km south of Pisa. The area is also called Colline Pisane (hills of Pisa).
