Cannubi is probably the most historic vineyard of the entire Barolo region located in the village of Barolo. Since 1985, a single vineyard wine has been made only in the beautiful (barolo) years. The Cannubi vineyard of Scavino is one of the two oldest vineyards planted in 1946 on the central top of Cannubi hill. The low yield of this vineyard is due to a special combination of natural factors, of which the age of the vines guarantees a unique quality. Here comes the concentration and richness of this Barolo where the charm of Nebbiolo is fully expressed. Harmonious and very fine texture.

The Barolo Cannubi has a deep ruby red color and a distinct bouquet of black fruit, minerals, smoke and liqueur. Sturdy structure with powerful tannins. Opulent wine with a complex finish.

95/100 - Wine Enthusiast (2014)
94/100 - Parker (2014)

This wine goes well with red meat (grilled / roasted), lamb, fur game and cheeses that are rich and powerful in taste.

The Nebbiolo grapes (the noble grape of Italy) used for this delicious wine are picked early October. Fermentation on stainless steel follows later. The malolactic fermentation takes place in oak barrels and then a 12-month lag on French barriques. The wine then remains in large French oak barrels for 12 months before bottling. Finally, another year of aging in the bottle.
