Menuts Bordeaux

The Menut Rouge Bordeaux AOC is a blend of the typical Bordeaux grapes such as with a Pomerol namely 85% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The bottom of the vineyard is mainly clayey limestone. The grapes are picked by hand as well as with hypermodern machines. The grapes are then manually selected and then the good grapes are grown and lightly bruised to extract the best tannins. Then the grape must undergoes a traditional fermentation of no less than 28 days with regular soaking in temperature-controlled vessels. The Menuts Rouge then ripens in the same oak barrels in which the big brother can ripen the Clos des Menuts for a period of 12 months and can therefore develop in peace. Connoisseurs know that 2015 and 2016 were great years in Bordeaux, so this Bordeaux Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (AOC) is a wine with a great price / quality ratio. For less of 10 euros a nice burgundy. Pleasant, supple and well made with notes of the fresh red fruit of the Merlot, the cherries and the leather of Cabernet Sauvignon and the softness and tobacco of the Cabernet Franc. Because of the oak upbringing we also taste some vanilla tones and the wine has light-grained tannins. The wine is now fine to drink and this will certainly remain the next 3-5 years.

Wijnuts Menuts

Maison Riviere, owner and negotiant since 1875 in Saint Emilion , has made his Bordeaux MENUTS with the willingness to meet the highest demands. The Menut series comes from Pierre Rivière, the famous producer from St. Emilion from Clos des Menuts and Château Haut-Piquat, among others.
