2018 Enate Gewurztraminer
Type | White |
Grapes | Gewürztraminer |
Country/Region | Spain |
Vintage | 2018 |
Alcohol | 14% |
Complex and lush in the nose, full of honey, roses and spices. On the palate it is a fleshy, plump wine that leaves a sweet impression despite its dry character. Serving: 8-12 ° C. Great as a sultry aperitif or 'chill-out' lounge wine.
The vineyards for this Gewurztraminer are 550-600 meters above sea level, protected by the Pyrenees. The humidity is low, partly due to the drying effect of gentle winds. The soil consists of a mixture of sand and loam, poor and permeable to water. Due to the altitude, the difference in temperature between day and night is very large, 35 ° C during the day, 15 ° C at night. This gives the grapes extra complexity, aromatic power and taste.
In addition to the brilliant quality, the trim is also striking. Spain's best contemporary visual artists make the labels. Top restaurateur Ferran Adrià (El Bullì) carries all their wines just like us.

Tasting Notes: The Gewürztraminer grape produces some of the greatest Alsace wines. It is also perfectly adapted to our ENATE vineyards. "Gewürz" means spicy, and its characteristic is amply present in this wine. The bouquet is complex and exuberant, full of tones or honey and flowers (roses). On the palate it is chewy, with sweet nuances showing, especially in its aftertaste although the wine is dry.
