Using grapes grown on Baia’s vineyard, this beautiful amber wine has aromas of persimmon, apricot and citrus on the nose. The wine tastes harmonious and velvety, with flavours of dried apricot, soft lemon and honey that create a full-bodied and dry amber wine with a long and pleasant finish.

About Baia's Wine
Baia's Wine is a small family winery in the village of Obcha, Western Georgia. Baia and her family have been growing grapes and producing wine for over three generations and they are proud to share their wine with the world as wine has always been a big tradition for the family. Baia is 24 years old and since 2015 she has been producing natural white wines; Tsitska-Tsolikouri and Tsolikouri. Baia's sister Gvantsa is 22 and reading for a masters in agricultural science at university. She started making natural wine in 2015 and now she is producing small scale red wine from Otskhanusi Sapere grapes. Giorgi is the youngest in the family and he is studying oenology at the same university as his big sister. All of the wine is made using grapes only grown on their own vineyards in Obcha. All the wines are aged in the family wine cellar. Three generations of the family work on the vineyard to deliver traditional and natural Georgian wine. In 2019, Baia was named in the Forbes' 30 under 30.

The village of Obcha boasts a unique micro-climate for growing the grapes that are used to make Baia's wines. Obcha is located east of the Sairme mountains, which receives a slightly higher angle of the sun's rays with greater solar intensity. At 324 meters above sea level, the land offers an ideal location for growing premium wine grapes. The perfect balance of geography, micro-climate and well-drained soil come together to create the perfect environment for Baia's exquisitely handcrafted wines. The heavy cold air that collects between the high peaks during the night drains off the heights, much like water, joining cold moist air, creating a double cooling effect. The cool nighttime temperatures are critical in developing high-quality grapes. The alluvial soil, with clay, gravel, sand and limestone have other significant vintages, while adding various mineral elements to the soils, which transfer to the gorgeous grapes.
