De Montille manages that difficult task of combining old-school classicism with dynamic forward-thinking and the result is a burgeoning family property that is very much at the top of its game, producing a range of scintillating yet proper Burgundies. Blessed with vineyards across both Côtes, the domaine produces wines of exceptional quality. The "Les Sizies" is an introduction to the 1er Crus of Domaine de Montille. It drinks well without too much of a wait, but it can surprise with its aging capacity of approximately 15 years.

The name comes from the name of the property's owner in the 18th century, Renaud de Sessie, who owned large tanneries in Beaune.
