The Terroir
Geography: The vines are nestled on the hillsides of the left bank of the Rhône, above Livron-sur-Drôme. Once planted by the Romans, this South-West facing terroir is now the smallest vineyard on the left bank.Only a dozen winemakers are lucky enough to own this exceptional land.

Age of the vines: 20 to 30 years old.Density: 5,000 to 8,000 vines per hectare.
Pruning: "Cordon de royat" on wires.
Vinification & Ageing
Vinification: Manual harvest, de-stemmed. Sent to a vibrating table then to the tanks on a conveyor belt. Maceration for 20 days with temperature control. Malolactic fermentation in barrels.Ageing: 12 months in a truncated vat and barrels. Racking and blending 6 weeks before bottling.
