A rare, unicorn of a wine. Made from the local Avesso grape, which is rarely seen even in this region. A medium bodied wine, subtle floral notes on the nose with a waxy, citrus mouthfeel on the palate. This doesnt come around very often!Outside of its natural beauty and cultural heritage, Quinta de Covelas location is important to note. Situated on the right bank of the Douro River, the estate straddles the Douro Valley Region to the east, and Vinho Verde to the west. Covela enjoys a maritime/continental microclimate with higher rainfall than the Douro Valley.
