Tasting Notes
This wine is mouthfilling with powerful tannins and a ripe fruit finish. It has excellent acidity. A stunning wine from the producer of Mas de Daumas Gassac, the acclaimed Lafite of the Languedoc. Dark red in colour, it has complex notes of tart red fruit and black plum with a touch of leather.
The Story
The 2013 vintage:
In the Gassac valley, 2013 was marked by a severe winter and cool spring, followed by summer heat and then a glorious autumn.
We experienced the latest harvest ever (23 September 6 October) since the Domaine was founded, and this 36th vintage will be remembered as one of the greatest of all Daumas Gassac reds. Distinguished, fresh, elegant, balanced, with unmatched complex aromas, this 2013 is really impressive and thoroughly seductive.
